Evaluāt

Senior Software Engineer

Our software solves real problems for real people, and helps our customers be their best. Our Software Engineers make it look easy.

About You

You love building software that solves real problems for real people, delighting them along the way. You take pride that your code is as beautiful as a love letter, and as simple and functional as a slice of bread. You crave the challenge of taking a good product and making it great.

About Us

Our vision is to be the evaluation standard across industries. We deliver a tailored evaluation experience backed by real people and solid research so our customers get the information they need, every time.

About The Work

The Software Engineering team is on a mission to make our customer’s vision a reality by helping them sift deep insights out of their Evaluāt data. We provide tools that no other evaluation product can touch, in a way that is user friendly and extremely useful for our customers. Our Engineers work side-by-side with our Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams, and we love it when our Engineers and customers can tackle a new problem together. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and build upon our existing codebase written in PHP and JS (jQuery), with a fluency in HTML and CSS that delivers an exquisite product experience
  • Construct SQL queries to bring together data in innovative ways
  • Help tell our story by occasionally writing blog entries about the interesting technical problems you are solving
  • Collect ideas for how to change Evaluāt to better serve our customers’ needs, and help assess their requirements

We have a physical presence in suburban Washington, DC and Durham, NC, and we are open to permanent telework arrangements as well.
